For Liberian Citizens

The Republic of Liberia is recognized across West Africa and beyond for its commitment
to secure identity management and regional mobility. As a member of the Economic
Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Liberian passport holders enjoy visa-free
or visa-on-arrival access to over 40 countries, enhancing their freedom of
movement for education, business, and family ties. Liberia continues to upgrade
its passport systems in line with ICAO (International Civil Aviation
Organization) standards to ensure biometric integrity, security, and
international recognition.

The Embassy of Liberia in Kinshasa offers passport and travel document services exclusively to Liberian nationals residing in or visiting the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Services Offered

Required Documents

Proof of Liberian citizenship (National ID, expired passport, or birth certificate)
Completed passport application form (available at the Embassy)
Two recent passport-sized photos
Police report (in case of loss or theft)
Payment of passport processing fees

How to Apply

All passport requests require appointment scheduling in advance. Please contact the Embassy by email or phone. The Embassy strongly encourages all citizens to renew passports at least 6 months before expiry to avoid disruptions in travel or legal processes.
