Who we are

The Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in Kinshasa is the official diplomatic mission of the Government of Liberia to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It serves as the primary channel through which Liberia engages with the DRC on matters of diplomacy, economic development, cultural cooperation, and regional integration.

As a representation of Liberia’s values, vision, and sovereignty, the Embassy works to strengthen political, social, and economic ties between the two nations. It also plays a key role in enhancing Liberia’s presence in Central Africa and promoting mutual interests through dialogue, partnership, and collaboration. In addition to fostering government-to-government relations, the Embassy provides vital services to Liberian citizens residing in or visiting the DRC. It is a hub of support, protection, and engagement for Liberians abroad, as well as a platform for outreach to investors, institutions, and friends of Liberia.

Our Core Responsibilities

The Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in Kinshasa carries out a wide range of diplomatic, consular, and development-related functions. Our core responsibilities include:

- Representing Liberia in official relations with the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo
- Providing consular services such as passport issuance, visa processing, and legal assistance for Liberian citizens
- Protecting the rights and welfare of Liberian nationals living, studying, or traveling in the DRC
- Facilitating bilateral agreements in the areas of trade, investment, education, public health, and infrastructure
- Promoting Liberia’s image and values through cultural diplomacy, academic exchanges, and public outreach
- Assisting foreign investors and institutions interested in doing business with or in Liberia
- Monitoring regional developments and advising the Government of Liberia on issues affecting diplomatic and economic interests
- Supporting Liberian students and diaspora communities through guidance, coordination, and engagement initiatives
- Organizing and participating in official ceremonies, conferences, and multilateral forums representing Liberia’s voice and vision
- Maintaining close cooperation with international organizations, embassies, and development agencies to advance shared goals
